V-Flyer

quick trip report before breakfast.

i was on a short transfer yesterday from Manchester with BA but i managed to get from T5 arrivals to the clubhouse in about 20 minutes - take that Flight Transfers

even so, this only gave me 30 minutes before the flight was due to be called which i realise is hardly v-flyer protocol but i still managed to grab a snack from the deli & a couple of quick Virgin Redheads - a word of caution here; you really shouldn't down one of those in one & then take a 10 minute brisk walk to the gate . i waited for the 2nd call & srolled straight onto the plane which was boarded & ready in time for push back but it was a good 30 minutes before we were allowed to move due to traffic.

UC was pretty full as far as i could see, the flight was totally uneventful, had the chickpea cakes for lunch which were excellent again & settled in to get my ususal 3 movies in.

customs at Newark took their customary time processing arriving passengers so even though there was only the tail end of a previous flight queuing, clearing still took an hour. being able to jump straight into a virgin limo is wonderful after a long day's travelling & i was in my hotel room in less time than it took to get through customs.

Downing a red head and then running to the gate, surely flying to the gate more like.
