This was the best Upper Class experience I've had in terms of service and has somewhat restored my faith in Virgin. Boarding was civilized; Announcements were professional and not excessively 'jolly'; Cabin Crew were attentive and were clearly making a real effort to do their best. Dinner was also better than usual with more attention to detail. However, I'm not sure I would choose to be upstairs again with this configuration. Only complaint would be the piped music on board before take-off was so loud that it was difficult to hold a conversation with the passenger next to me. We had a a long time on the ground and the tape loop couldn't have been more than half a dozen tracks, so we were forced to listen to the same selection of songs at least 3 times prior to take-off. It was annoying and inappropriate. The flight was smooth and although I couldn't seem to sleep well this time around I was more than satisfied with the flight and service.

Thanks for the TR - it's always good to hear from a satisfied customer.

Thanks for your TR
I know what you mean about that annoying tape i got songs from "Just Jack" 3 or 4 times when taking off & landing earlier this year to DXB, it was mega loud and not a particuarly good song either. Would have been better if they stayed with playing the somewhat more relaxing sound of "Leftfields papua new guinee"

cheers

Excellent stuff.

I hope the music was worthy as you will probably know the words off by heart by now and will invariably find yourself singing/humming/whistling them at inappropriate times.

I usually find I begin to detest any song that is played on the boarding music as I hear them so much!
