Hello all,

just discovered the forum, can't believe I didn't know of your existence. 34 Virgin Atlantic flights in the past year, mainly LHR-IAD, LHR-SYD, LHR-BOS and LHR-LAX. I won't begin to bore you with them all, but I'll try to keep up with trips as I take them. I spend far too much of my life on planes, anything that helps to make that experience easier and more enjoyable is so welcome. My flights are mainly for business, usually PE, sometimes UC, and occasionally Economy.

So UC to Sydney - I was actually going to Melbourne and used to fly Singapore Airlines on the 380's till they started to withdraw them from the Singapore to Melbourne leg. So it's now Virgin to HK and Sydney and then Virgin Blue to Melbourne for me. This was the 5th trip to Melbourne this year and my second in UC on this leg.

In general a very good trip, no babies or toddlers, the bar was fairly quiet on both legs. Actually managed about 4 hrs solid sleep on the HK to Sydney leg which is a very rare occurence for me.

Food was OK, excellent crew on the HK SYD leg and the added unexpected schoolboy snigger bonus hilarity of watching "the last airbender."

All in all it made the mind-numbing experience about as bearable as it will ever be. There was no room in UC for the return leg when I booked so PE for the return.

Anyone travelling to Melbourne my restaurant tip would have to be Longgrain. A Thai / vietnamese fusion resturant of amazing quality with a great, lively atmosphere. It's right at the top of Chinatown. Enjoy
