yes v port is great but IMO the bubble is nicer and i always think there is just slightly more leg room than the PE section downstairs. Also dont like the useless footrests.
anyway OLCI secured Seq 1 again and after a 3 hour car journey to MCO check in was ok. bit of a q with a trainee supervisor who didnt quite know what he was doing. Friendly agent -i requested a move from 36k window to 28A or C and off she went. and back she came, ' i couldnt get you 28 but the man in 36H wanted a window so i have swapped you '

well thanks but no thanks so back to K we go.
security cleared in a few minutes and into Outback for a beer.
boarding called at 5.25 all very smooth and onto the plane which was filling up (PE was rammed but no PAX numbers issued). Glass of bubbly within 2 minutes of arriving.
Take off was 6.15 with a flight time of 7.30. which was about 7.29 too long as I had a screaming child behind who was obvioulsy practising his soccer skills on my seat-mummy and daddy were typical South Americans who had to converse at shouting level for the whole flight despite being 2 feet apart.

My neighbour was a very pleasant Dutch surgeon who had been in orlando for just 3 days (and had his luggage left at LGW in a mix up between VS and KLM). he had to go out and buy new clothes after a long journey and as he was lecturing next day as he put it 'finding something other than a mickey shirt is rather difficult'. obviously a very clever guy as he specialised in the Da Vinci robot , which being married to a nurse and daddy to a 4th year trainee surgeon I was able to chat about for at least 30 seconds

these pieces of kit are very VERY clever and very VERY expensive and the hospital in Orlando he was involved with has 10 !!! 4 just for training. i dont think there are that many in the whole of the UK.
No drinks run, straight into the food -had the lamb biryani which was pretty good, washed down with a glass of red which was topped up on the way back (about 3 minutes as there was only one more row !!) promising start. got even better when the CC (all of whom were excellent) came back with coffee and tea...'fancy a top up' she enquired 'no ta' i replied no coffee for me, 'oh i didnt mean coffee she says and pops off to get a fresh glass of red

the FSM was very visible and hands on ,chatting to PAx, helping clear trays and then ' fancy another red sir, these glasses are very small ??' .......is the Pope catholic ? she instantly became my most favourite FSM as Del Boy would say

It couldnt get much better...could it...oh yes as 5 minutes later she appeared with the Baileys.....I do believe I may be in love

After the odd tipple, i settled down to watch a couple of films - The Hole (very good and no way a 12 rated) and then the Russell Crowe Robin Hood which also was ok.
yes vport is brilliant compared to the alternatives if only if could get fitted on the LGW fleet. finished off by watching some CSI and comedy ,did manage a brief doze and then it was lights on for landing about 2 hours out and that horrendous breakfast offering (at what was midnight to us

managed to snag a banana which is far more preferable to the stodge and we then descended into a gloomy LGW touching down at 645. saying goodbye to my new Dutch companion i then cleared immi, baggage reclaim and was in my mates car by 7.15 arriving at my temporary base for the week....Mummys and the immortal words ' bacon and sausage love ??'
i do love my mummy

Anyway in summary a good flight made better by a superb Cc and first class FSM (we need a category beyond excellent).
going back next Sat again on a LHR version ,how pleased would i be if this crew were on that run
