So, following a quick trip to get burnt in Texas (yes, I am very red at the moment

UC checkin queue was non-existant, but the desks were busy, but was personally escorted via a family that seemed to have their entire house with them to a vacant desk. Quickly checked in, bag dropped off, FC number added to boarding pass and away to the clubhouse.
Sadly it was quite full so couldn't get the red chairs and had to make do with a table at the far end by a power point. Many mojitos were quickly consumed and some food (crab cakes and cheese - both excellent). I decided to have a shower, and as seems always the case spread water around the entire room - oh well

The flight was quite late, and when they eventually called us I headed off to a busy 'priority security' lane - it was pretty quick, and after the long walk to A11 I settled into my suite.
One very strange thing about this flight was that we took off from 1R - I have never taken off from that one before (generally 28L or 28R) - made for a very strange take off direction and views!
Food and drinks came pretty quickly - I had the customary G+T, and for food had the fish and a cinnamon cake - they were pretty good actually. I saw people having the take-away box thing and thought it was interesting idea...
Suite swiftly turned into a bed (completely ignoring the seat belt sign - cabin crew couldn't have cared less), and I got 6-7 hours sleep, absolutely great!
Breakfast was the standard excellent bacon sandwich and croissant, and I settled back to finishing off the F1 Grand Prix on the iPad.
Landing was fine, but quite a wait for the door to be opened, and then a long wait to be let off the jet way, but immigration was deserted and my bag was on the belt - so no complaints there!
Sadly noone to pick me up this time, so off to the Underground - I hate that thing - far too slow, but best option for me.
Great flight - definitely worth the miles. Now for 10 days back in the UK before heading home (sadly in Y)
