V-Flyer

1st time on the new Airbus and was not sure what to expect,check in was fine seperate line for PE straight through although wife was was picked for a random search,straight on to the plane turned left but not in to upper class this time!4 of us travelling and I had booked Aisle seats for us,seats nice and comfortable and did like the IFE system,to me does not matter what class your in the food is not that good,only thing on menu I would eat was a beef curry but the time they got to us said it was all gone,this really does annoy me and complained and lo and behold they managed to find one!we had a good crew aboard and spent time up front chatting and helping the crew with there crosswords! although I did find it strange that 2 of the toilets were up front just behind the pilots cockpit.we have been flying with Virgin since 1989 and although the airbus is a newer plane not sure if its better then the 747,on way back with had 2 Aisle and 2 middle seats where me and the wife where sitting,and although we have been told it's the same seat pitch you get the feeling it's smaller,will be flying to LA next year but not sure if it will be with Virgin

Thanks for the TR. With such mixed reviews about the new planes I am still not convinced that I want to leave the bubble ! There have also been many comments about the forward toilets being out of bounds for pax and I wondered if your party were allowed to use them ?

Thanks for your TR, not such a good overall experience of the new A330 PE Cabin, we've seen very mixed reviews.

I understand your frustration with the meal choice running out, it must be tough for them to manage numbers, certainly if everyone wants the same but as it's PE, I do feel they need to ensure sufficient numbers to maintain the lovely menu offering.

If you did give VS another chance for L.A. you may find a very difficult opionion as the PE experinece on the A346 or 747 is far better IMHO.
