V-Flyer

This was a G reward flight starting in Premium Economy but managing to upgrade after checking on the site for 3 weeks every day(just shows persistance pays off )

Flew down the night before from Manchester and stayed in the Hilton which is next to the airport. I had invited Welsheagle to the clubhouse through vflyer who gratefully accepted the invite the only problem was 2 weeks before the flight the timings for my flight changed bringing it forward to 10.10 which meant I would miss Welsheagle who was flying to MCO at 13.00 later that day .

I made it through check in at 06:30 and into the Gatwick Clubhouse to a smiling concerige desk who showed us around as it was 3 years since we had been at Gatwick. Breakfast was taken and very nice indeed.

I Spoke to the reception and asked politly that although my flight had a time brought forward would it be possible that my guests be allowed entry and they said no problem . I quickly SMS Welsheagle and gave them the good news.

Got the call to board and priorty boarding was evident and speedily arrived to 8K. The flight was 9hrs 40mins and it was Ruby Tuesday. Although the flight was uneventful we were looked after very well and the FSM was visable throught the flight (this may have been to 2 crew down) .

Overall another satisfying flight and a well deserved 2 weeks in Cuba.

Glad you had a good flight.

We were most grateful for the invite and just sorry that we could not meet up with jfenny and his wife.

The crew in the CH were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent there.
