This trip was extra good because my sister and her husband had joined us for the last week. She has never been to the USA before - so seeing her reaction to all that Las Vegas has to offer was great fun.
Mrs C and I were in UC, having obtained a prized G ticket. My sister and hubby were in Y. We had all checked in online and was really pleased that the groundstaff at UC check-in confirmed that we could take a guest each into the lounge at McCarran. I know it's nothing particularly special by clubhouse standards, but my sister thought it was wonderful. The sparkling wine flowed until it was time to board Ruby Tuesday for the trip back to MAN. The flight loading was very light - only 145 pax in total + 12 crew. There were 6 pax in the UC cabin.
Needless to say, with such a light loading, the service was quick and attentive. Drinks and meals were served promptly after take off. I had the chicken and Mrs C the beef. We thought that both were really good quality.
After the meal service, Mrs C had a word with the FSM and our two family members were allowed to join us at the UC bar for half an hour or so. Very kind indeed. They really enjoyed the experience.
After a good few hours of sleep, I didn't feel like the full English breakfast, and just opted for cereal and a bacon butty. Mrs C went for the full English and said it was 'OK' - but not particularly tasty.
A good flight all in all - with a very pleasant crew.
