I’m not sure how much detail I should give about the holiday itself so I’ll be brief!
Sand Diego is an awesome city, very laid-back and friendly and so much to do. If you have any geekish tendencies then you must go to Comic Con, it’s insane and thoroughly knackering but I’d go back in a heartbeat.
I stayed in Hollywood for a couple of days before I travelled home and I took the opportunity to see the newly opened Cirque Du Soleil show Iris and I was completely blown away, if you have a chance to see the show don’t pass it up!
I arrived back at LAX a bit early so had to hang around for a bit before check-in opened but once it did I was through swiftly and on my way to be x-rayed, which was as bad as I was expecting. The difference between Terminal 3 at Heathrow and the terminal at LAX was very surprising though I didn’t mind, I grabbed some food and found a quiet spot upstairs to sit and wait for my flight.
Boarding started a little late but the priority boarding was awesome once again. The PE section on the Airbus seemed a bit smaller and the cabin felt a bit newer on this plane. I also noticed that V-Port was much faster than on the flight out. Again very friendly and efficient crew and plenty of food and drinks brought round.
Something a little strange happened on the flight; I was sat (at the back again) next to an empty seat until just before the doors were closed. I was thinking that I’d lucked out and would have the pair to myself but at the last minute two strangely familiar-looking gents boarded the plane. It was only two actors from a TV show I like and who I’d seen at Comic Con the previous week! So I was sat next to one of them for the flight. Luckily for him I’m not one to fawn over famous people but he’s a really nice guy so we had a chat and I left him to read through his scripts. I should add however that before we got off the plane I did ask for an autograph!
