My first V-Flyer trip report, so bear with me.
Check – In - Twilight
We did twilight check in before an overnight stay at Stanhill Court. We hit the airport at 5ish and went straight to the check in, we had used OLCI earlier in the day and had confirmed our seats. There was no queue at check in & to my delight we were able to change our seats to exit row seats...a result!
Flight day
A quick check on V-Flyer advised us of a 2 hour delay (which resulted in a V-Flyer thread – it is the norm for VS065 to be delayed!). Off to the airport we went and we were diverted to an invite only – security & were through in minutes..excellent. Off we went to No 1 Lounge which was pleasant.
Boarding
We were amongst the first on board and loved the feel of the bubble! On the subject of bubbles we thought it rude to decline the offer of a glass of bubbly!
We pushed back 2 hrs behind schedule (the reason for the delay was given as our intended aircraft had a problem) so we were on a substitute “English Rose”.
The good news was that we would catch up an hour during the flight!
The flight
The seats were showing signs of age but were fine, we didn’t use IFE other than the maps as we had Ipads. We both chose Beef from the menu which was better than most airline food & was washed down with red wine plus after dinner brandy. Throughout the flight drinks were always available – I went down to the galley when we wanted them. Food kept coming, in fact most of the flight was spent eating or drinking.
We loved the space in PE (we have been downstairs in the past) it somehow gave an air of calm.
The flight crew were great, chatty, friendly & efficient, they really make a flight!
We landed an hour behind as expected & were quickly though passport control, our bags were amongst the last off (i think as a result of twilight check in).
Within an hour of landing we were at the Couples lounge ready for our return to CSA.
To sum up despite the delay a pleasant flight which went quickly.

Thank you for the TR. We did the same flights in PE in the bubble in January too, but stayed in Sandals. We were fortunate to have great flights and crew on both outbound and inbound. I have also done TR for both sectors.

Thanks for the TR y) y)

Your sense of enjoyment with PE in the bubble comes through loud and clear and I do hope that VS retains that configuration when the planes are refurbished later this year

Great first TR and having the bubble in my opinion is the best for PE :D As many have said in many posts here on V-flyer the crew do make the flight be it in any cabin. I was on this route last year love the island ,love the airline and thanks again for your TR and hope you have many more to come y)

Reading the VS site on the matter doesn't indicate anything to the contrary....
