There was no line at the Upper Class check in desk when I arrived so I was relieved of my Snowboard bag and given a boarding pass quickly.
I was inside the Clubhouse a few minutes later, I was approached by one of the waiting staff quickly who offered me a drink, the service was friendly and attentive during the two hours I was there. My only issue with the Clubhouse is that it is not airside, therefore you have to go through security screening between the Clubhouse and the boarding gates.
Boarding was quick and again I was welcomed aboard and shown to my seat which was a little worn where the two back cushions meet, not too much of an issue for me on the red eye as it spent about eight hours converted into a bed.
Take off was on time and once airborne the FSM came around the cabin introducing himself and welcoming back onboard by name.
I enjoyed the Short Rib of Beef followed by a slice of cheesecake and some Apple Pie and a few glasses of Malbec.
I went straight to sleep after the meal service was cleared away and was woken up over Ireland with my breakfast and a cup of coffee.
We landed about thirty minutes early, I was first off the plane and cleared immigration quickly through the IRIS scanner (such a shame they are going after the Olympics), luggage came through quickly which was a great surprise for me as Snowboards have taken up to an hour to arrive at the luggage belt before at LHR even when flying Upper Class.
On passing through customs my Chauffeur was waiting to greet me and take me home.
Another great performance by the team.
