So the day had finally arrived!

Headed off the Gatwick after completing OLCI at T-24 the previous day, SEQ4 for the geeks!;)

I was able to choose seat 79C at the back of the bubble, the bag drop at Gatwick was non existent, straight up to the check in agent, dropped my checked baggage where he swapped my printed boarding pass for a posh 'gatwick premium' carded boardng pass.

Proceeded to the 'Gatwick premium invited guests' security channel where this was again breeze, was in and out all within 10 minutes, probably lesss.

Boarding began at 10.50am as the flight was delayed for half an hour due to (from what ive read) having to draft in Ruby Tuesday to cover for a grounded aircraft, (correct me if im wrong!)

So the flight, Was very impressed with the premium economy product, as soon as I perched down in my seat I knew this was far from being an economy seat! You really can feel the extra width and ended up in 'seat heaven' when I reclined back and the footrest popped up! Even with the seat infront reclined it didnt feel it was encroaching into my space too much when I wasnt reclined. The bonus of this seat I believe was the fact it was over the top of the staircase and felt it could go back just slightly more for some reason, the added extra of a side table was very handy!

The flight itself was great, very attentive service from the cabin crew from the pre take off drinks right through to disembarking, I really could not fault any of it. The crew worked tirelessly to make sure we were all taken care of. The bubble really is the place to be, it feels like your in your own private aircraft and you seem to forget there are another 380 odd people below you!

1st time flyer in PE verdict? - I'm NEVER flying economy again! y)

Glad you enjoyed the experience, and great news that you were able to select your PE seat at OLCI unlike some others who have be pre allocated seats and unable to change them.

Thanks for sharing your TR y) The problem with flying premium classes is that it spoils you and you never want to go back to Y...of course sometimes finance sends you back n(

Great flight, great service =great start to the holiday ^) ^)

Thanks for the TR y) y)

As you have already said, now that you have tasted that "forbiden fruit" of PE, it is difficult to go back ): You were also privvy to the best seat of the current LGW configuration, so do be warned if you do fly PE the next time

I have been lucky enough to fly PE quite regular and I have seen a steady decline in the product, PE experiance is definetly going down hill for the price tag..
