Not much to report with this being a night flight, rather uneventful....

This was our first flight where we had not been able to select seats prior to OLCI. I managed to bag seq 1 - 4 ^) but was not able to select our seats myself and was automatically allocated 4 seats in the bubble being 72 and 73 A and C. More than happy with these seats.

We have two future flights booked, again in PE and again we are unable to select seats until OLCI opens so at least I am prepared for the fact that I might not be able to actually select our seat numbers.....

On arriving at our seats I was shocked at what a bad state they were in, they were absolutely knackered (for want of a better word!). Unable to adjust headrests, very little padding left in the seat etc. I don't remember the bubble being this bad last August..... I guess they are part of the refurb plans? They need to be!!

CC lovely.

We used DTD bag drop off for the first time on this trip. All seemed to go well but on arrival at MAN it was soon evident that our cases were not prioritised over economy cases and we had the longest wait ever for them n( Not good and will avoid DTD if possible in the future....

All in all, a good flight but the poor condition of the bubble really lets VA down.

Ali.

Thanks for this y) y)

Whilst i have always been a great fan of the "bubble" PE seats (reminds me of my one and only trip in First with BA back in the 1980's :| ) their time has now come and let's hope that the disruption over the next few months proves to be worth the wait.

On our last flight back from MCO, we too experienced that the bags were not priority tagged at DTD v( v( I know this because we later checked in one bag at the airport and this came out like a shot

I agree with you Ali, the planes are looking tired and this refit would have been better a couple of years ago. I do think, however, that a good CC can make the flight no matter what else :)
At least VS are getting it sorted

Much as my report on may 18th . The seats are totally knackered on the 747 and refurb is desperately needed. No surprise re the wait for baggage at MAN same as my trip. Shocking.

Bazamor, I should add that this is the first time we have had a problem with collecting our cases at Manchester...... Up until this trip we have always checked our cases in at MCO and received our cases reasonably quickly at MAN, definitely before the economy cases.

Buns, Didn't think to check the labels on the cases, they appeared to do all the right things at DTD but clearly not. Like you we checked in one holdall at MCO which came out onto the carousel very quickly.

Ali :)

Our experience in Manchester last year was that cases were not flagged as priority. In fact we were almost last to collect our cases. No reason for them not to have come out earlier. Hadn't been opened or anything. Was thoroughly peeed of at the time as kids were unwell and we had 5 hr drive ahead of us to get home . Could have done without 30 min delay getting bags. Hopefully it be better when we get back in July this year v(
