V-Flyer

hi all after a good 2 weeks honeymoon in orlando with my new wife i was very sad to go home after such a lovely flight to mco from lgw on the new airbus with a great ife system. i had herd about the 747s being re fitted and after looking at this website i came to my own conclusion i would be flying on the new re fitted plane barbrella whooo over the moon after seeing some other reports about the older planes.

the new ife system was great fully touch screen no hand set still would have liked one but not that important. we was started off by being told that 2 crew members were ill and therefore please be patient with services as 449 pax on borad to serve and look after all night so not that impressed.

we took off on time and a very fast flight just over 7 hours due to good tail winds a little into the flight was a bit bumpy and all of a sudden over the tanoy every one herd the captain say delta foxtrot some thing had happend at the front of the plane some one needed help still not sure to this day now but every one looked a bit eager for a while.
dinner was a choice of chiken korma beef stew or mac and cheese. i had the beef stew lovely and tender wife went for chiken korma all very nice shame about breakfast.

a few years ago we went to orlando on the way back for breakfast we had an egg mcmuffin was very nice. so i was really looking forward to breakfast how wrong could i have been they produced a brown box which contained a small minute maid of orange juice,honey nut natural vally bar and a soft apple bake thing which was horrible. i would like to say how disspointed i was in virgin atlantic i love them so much ! but on a nice note the crew were all smiles which was good to see as you could see they was under pressure for the whole flight.

Congratulations to you and your wife! Sounds like your flights to/from were pretty good - the in-flight food seems to be hit and miss especially the breakfast! My wife and I got married in te old Cypress Gardens so MCO has a special place in my heart

OMG!!

Someone else that liked the muffins. They were fab. I used to get 3 or 4 as no-one else would eat them. Oink oink!!

I believe they were 'enhanced' away due to numerous complaints.

well if this is the new breakfast very poor virgin atlantic !!!!
