V-Flyer

This was my first flight with Virgin and I was flying alone and somewhat nervous.
I had done OLCI and was Seq 2 however the flight was not full. I had changed my seat from the one assigned to 78A in the bubble . I did manage to change my seat at the point of OLCI but I did check in exactly 24 hours before departure.
I got to the gate and there was Ruby Tuesday waiting so straight on board and up the stairs.
I was more than happy with my seat which was wide , comfy and reclined well. I am a small person so leg room was not an issue and I had plenty of room. The seat next to me remained empty so even better!
the CC were very friendly and one nice steward was very attentive. I enjoyed my sparkling wine and then we were off.
Smooth take off and it seemed very soon that the drinks orders were being taken and a very generous V and T was served and further drinks were offered along with wine at the Dinner service.
The IFE was promptly turned on and no problems there.
The dinner service was next and I had the smoked salmon starter which was very good but a small portion followed by lasagne which was tasty and then the chocolate brownie type desert. All good.
The rest of the flight was uneventful just some turbulence as we got close to Orlando.
I saw Barbarella parked in the next space when we pulled up at the terminal.
I managed to get off quickly and there was no queue at Immigration so through within 5 mins.
PE bags arrived with the UC bags and again no problems.
I really enjoyed my first flight with Virgin and was very happy to experience the bubble.
I am flying back on the 747 also and will do a report on that flight when I get back.
Although I understand that the older aircraft are a bit shabbier than they once were I would still recommend anyone to fly in the bubble. I loved it !
