Dropped off outside Terminal 3 and welcomed and guided to the First class check in line. The member of staff was not at all friendly really - but case dropped off and I was on my way.
Flying First class and I got to use the priority line and it saved some time and I was through to Starbucks ordering the largest coffee they could offer...

No lounge but plenty of seating though the terminal is showing its age and looks tatty in places. Boarding began just before 0700 and First class were invited to board....welcomed warmly at the aircraft door and with only 8 seats in First class a nice private little cabin - the purple lighting looked fab especially as all window shades were down which is normal!
Drinks offered and I stuck with water the couple behind started to knock back the bloody mary's....they had three before take off

The flight steward was fantastic - drinks were refreshed before take off and he chatted with everyone using names at times. Two free seats in First which was unusual and we were off early. After the private safety briefing we were all strapped in and off we went ontime - a flight time of 4hrs50mins with three cabin crew and two flight deck crew.
The huge white leather seat was so comfy and the legroom fantastic - into the cradle position and I did enjoy a little sleep later in the flight!!
This was a breakfast flight so drinks offered first -juice, coffee or the bar and he actually brought around bucks fizz for everyone which was a nice start. The couple behind continued to knock back the bloody mary's

The meal service began and the choices were: Thai Fruit Ceviche and Pepper Jack Omelet or Fruit Plate with Blueberry Yogurt and Granola.
I went for the omelet which was actually delicious came with a side dish of mango, pineapple, lychee and papaya tossed in a coconut lemongrass syrup and toped with goji berries and blackberries. I had to laugh as a couple of brussel sprouts made it onto the plate with the omelet but it all worked well.
Banana bread and juice and coffee rounded off proceedings with more bucks fizz offered too.
Lights out to settle into RED which was fantastic and watched the American reunion film which was daft but funny. Warm cookies were offered later on and they were delicious - everyone getting 4 gooey chocolate cookies - the snack basket was also offered around and drinks regularly too.
45mins from touchdown a Vegetarian maki wrap was offered which was tasty with more drinks for those that wanted them - the couple behind me now swimming in bloody marys!!!

Touched down at 1535 and a quick taxi to the gate and through for my next flight for the real fun to begin......
A superb Virgin America experience- a fantastic crew member who delivered exceptional service (email sent to Virgin America) and he policed the front loo well - only first class guests allowed and little rope stopped anyone coming forward.
If you haven't tried Virgin America yet - do soon....
