This was my first time flying VS Upper Class out of Heathrow and we had asked out drive to bring us to the Upper Class check in and found out that we weren't eligible. This was a misunderstanding on my end so it wasn't a big deal.

Once we checked our bags we moved very quickly through to Upper Class Security and the lounge after a quick stop to pick up some shortbread in duty free.
We loved the lounge. We both chose to eat off the buffet. They had a fantastic selection of meats, cheeses, fruits and bread. We settled in with our breakfast, coffees and made spa appointments. Steve had a facial (first) and I had a mini manicure. We weren't sure about tipping for service so did anyway.

Our flight was called. Once at check in I was pulled aside after Steve went straight through. Uh oh...It took a few minutes for someone to come over and explain that my seat 15A had a broken Vport and would we like to change our seat to 20 and 21G. If not I could get a DVD player. Since it was a day flight home, we opted for the seat change and I was very happy to be asked. The attendant told me that give we were in the quiet part of the cabin they didn't want to move us without our permission.

We settled in and were greeted by the FSM as soon as the seat belt sign went off. She was very friendly and was part of the service.
We had our crisps (salt and vinegar) my favorite and the menu's handed out. We both ordered the onion soup and the beef. The amuse bouche was a yogurty mint disc. It tasted better than it looked. Our dinner was fine. The dessert of chocolate cake with carmel sauce however was my favorite including most desserts I had while on my vacation. I am a sucker for a moist chocolate cake.

I would say V port while worked isn't as intuitive as I would have liked. The Virgin America planes have touch screens and with the manual control it was easy to have to start at the beginning with the press of the wrong enter key.

After a long unexpected nap I woke up in time for tea. It was a nice ending to a smooth easy flight. This plane seemed a bit less worn than the flight out of SFO.
We were right out of the plane and through customs and our luggage came out very quickly.
We took another bag by accident and left one of ours and Virgin called immediately and it was sorted out within 30 minutes. Luckily San Francisco is a 20 minute ride to the airport.
All is all, our experience was fantastic on both flights. I would absolutely fly Virgin again and want to thank you all for your insights and information in preparing for this trip.
