After a great 7 days in Antigua it was time to return back to cold and frosty England.

Despite assurances from the Virgin Holidays Rep that she would arrange seats in the bubble for us, when we checked in on the morning of the flight, this was not the case. Downstairs it was then.

Departure of the flight was delayed by 1.5 hours because of the late arrival of one of the newly refurbished planes due to earlier snow problems at LGW.

On boarding we were told that there were going to be some 80 seats free in Economy but were asked to sit in our assigned seats until all passengers including those in Barbados had boarded. We noticed a 13 year old unaccompanied minor sitting in the 3rd seat of the row of 3 we sat at. Despite assurances that there was plenty of space this proved not to be or us as the section of the plane we were sat in was rammed out. It appeared all of the free seats were towards the rear of the plane with those sat there spreading out.

This resulted in us having to look after the young lonesome traveller. He was well behaved but we felt that the staff could have looked after him a little better. A letter will be despatched to Virgin Atlantic Head Office in due course about this.

Food was again very average with the breakfast offered nothing to write home about.

No issues with the entertainment system. Working as advertised.
