After an hour in the HKG CH it was time to re board Sleeping Beauty this time in 8A, some familiar faces from the previous leg including a really cute lady who could be a model but I wouldn't have a clue if she was or not, we exchanged a couple of smiles which is always good.

More Champagne offered and accepted, sleep suit declined as I'm still in my Comfy's from the previous leg.

According to Twitter Mrs H should be well on her way from AKL-LAX on NZ006 where she is changing to VS008 to LHR where we shall be reunited for an Airport date in the Revivals Lounge.

FSM came around introducing himself to all the UC pax ensuring that we were all comfortable, there is a large group across the other side of the plane that are already having a good time, looks like there might be a party at the bar later.

308 pax aboard with a flight time of twelve and a half hours.

I declined diner deciding to just have the Chocolate pudding dessert (good but can't beat the old Sticky Toffee Pudding or the Salted Caramel) and a couple of glasses of Cote du Rhone.

I made my bed up then proceeded to the bar for a while and asked for Jack on the Rocks, there were no mini bottles of JD like normal but a whole bottle of Gentleman Jack, an nice surprise a couple of glasses of that but no one else came up to the bar not even the cute could be model, so off to bed for me. I managed about seven hours of broken sleep before giving up and heading back to the bar for coffee at 0230 London time.

I wasn't planning on having breakfast on the plane (more like planning to sleep) but as I'm up I might as well partake and have another later with Mrs H in the Revivals Lounge.

I think the Jet lag is going to get me this time unless I can stay up all day, no chance of a sleep in tomorrow as I have an 1100 train from Paddington to Swindon booked so I can collect Riddick (my dog) from my parents house.

We landed at 0510 and passed through security quickly, E passport gates all closed and IRIS has now been decommissioned (such a shame about that).

In the revivals lounge by 0545.

Yes the Gentleman Jack was a very nice touch, free pour too so the glasses were nicely filled y)

Unfortunately there was no party, the group was loud to start with but nothing happened so it was just myself and Jack and a member of Crew who is actually flying to NZ via HKG as a passenger tonight Tornado permitting.

An excellent result all round , I guess even with paying the £1000 it still worked out as a good deal ?

I would say that's a good deal at £500 per sector long haul

Err a whole bottle Gentleman Jack aboard??? Please say that is fleet wide, far too frequently the mini JD bottles disappear all too quickly. ii)

I'm not surprised about the jet lag Dom, I don't think I could do all the travelling you have done in the past month without at least a day to reacclimate.

I am sure that Mrs H will be very happy the would-be model did not meander up to the bar or that you didn't 'accidentally' fall into the wrong bed :P

Cheers for posting all these sectors up, sounds like you had a good trip 8D
