After a good night at the Hilton we wandered over to the South Terminal, position of the UC check has changed since my last Gatwick flight in June, absolutely no wait at check in, whole process took just a couple of minutes.

Entered Club House at around 10, busier than I have ever seen it before, I am usually on one of the earlier flights. We settled down to a very nice eggs benedict & enjoyed several glasses of Lanson. The lounge got quieter as other flights boarded. We were enjoying our bubbly so much that we didn't leave to board aircraft (Ruby Tuesday) until second call, no queue at all when we reached gate so we were very soon settled in seats 6A & 6K. Champagne was swiftly served & second glass offered & accepted prior to take off. First time in seats 6A & 6K, will certainly go for these seats again in future. I cant recall what we had to start with for dinner but I had the chicken which was good, my partner had the steak which said was lovely, wine was topped up frequently by a very good & attentive crew.

All in all a very good flight on which we were very well looked after.

I think the quantity of champers consumed certainly played a part
in lack of memory on the starter front :)

Sounds fantastic, just what we are hoping for, just about to book our seats so original plan of 6a & 6k should work well
