Finally the time had come for a holiday and after a few 'interesting' weeks at work I couldn't wait!

We like to get to the airport the night before and use Twighlight checkin as we did on this occasion. Staying at the holiday inn.

Twighlight was very good. Got there at around 19:30 to a short queue. We're seen very quickly and was pretty much just a case of dropping off bags and picking up boarding passes as had checked in online. Only managing seq 119. Asked about the obligatory upgrade to pe but at £250 each I thought that we'd keep the economy seats. Check in agent was very helpful offering us exit row or more legroom as an alternative which I thought was a nice touch. Seemed genuinely interested in helping. Given this was our first time upstairs though we kept our requested seats and that was that.

Night at the holiday inn was ok. We normally stay at the Arora and get the train in which I personally love, but the bus from holiday inn Was efficient and did the job perfectly.

Got to LGW at around 8:30 to go into No.1 lounge. To be honest we were both a bit disappointed. Half the lounge was blocked off for a party. The food was a bit stale and just didn't get the normal good vibe. That said it's still a great view of the airfield and for me that alone is worth it. y)

Called to the gate at around 10:15 if memory serves me correctly. Ride today was Barberella- coincidentally we came home on Barberella from MCO last year which pleased me. The wife not so much. It's fair to say she doent share the same enthusiasm for aircraft as I do. She does humour me (most of the time through) :D

Boarding was swift and push back was slightly ahead of schedule. 447 plus 9 babies on board today. Flight time 8 hours 35 mins.
Drink run was quick and crew were efficient throughout. I love upstairs seats, felt more roomy that downstairs but would be a little disappointed if I'd paid to PE only to get Y PAX coming up to the loo every few minutes. For me though a fabulous experience. Crew we're efficient and friendly. Nothing more nothing less. Which for me was all I wanted.
For some reason I can't remember the meal out but think it was pretty good.

Landed into MCO ahead of schedule but after the MAN flight so got into immigration with an hour or so wait. Not too bad based on previous experience.

All in all another good flight with VS, and it was off for two weeks in the sunshine state!
