Our first VS flight since 2005. Excellent service and food. Can't wait to fly VS UC again.

Checked in online. Only 7 nights in the UK so no checked luggage. We went straight through security to the Delta Sky Club. Tried to show the delta rep our passports but he said we had to wait for the VS rep to arrive. Concerned about overhead storage for 6AK so we went to the gate early. Checked in with the GA. She sounded relieved we were there. Did not think much about her reaction until we boarded and, as we sipped our bubbly, I got a voice mail notice on my phone. It was a VS rep wondering if we were, "in the building" and suggested that if we were not they would hold the flight until we arrived at the gate. Now that is customer service!

Only 2 complaints. Both are design-related: 1) the reading light above the beverage shelf makes the shelf nearly impossible to use. 2) While sitting on the 6K foot stool I kept hitting the button to convert seat 6A to sleep mode every time I leaned the wrong way.

I have flown TA on Delta and must say that the VS seat provided a much better night's sleep.

Immigration for us non-Brits was a breeze. We used Yotel as an arrivals lounge.

Ditto that.
Mrs D thinks she's travelling light with two cases for three nights.
I think our luggage is called Justin.
Mrs D needs a thick coats and summer dresses, just in case the weather turns.
