So after a fab Little Red flight and bus transfer to T3 we didn't even glance at the terminal shops as we marched to the Clubhouse. :P
We walked up those stairs to be greeted by lovely friendly smiles to welcome us to the lounge and, realising we were clubhouse virgins, the staff gave us a short tour.
I booked spa time first then had a tasty light brekkie along with a - highly recommended - Redhead cocktail! I decided that as we had been up for 6 hours by now it was ok to start on the bubbly!! :D
Had an amazing facial then investigated the fairly quiet clubhouse. Settled on a nice sofa and ordered a tasty (and very cute) snack to share. The most obvious plus for this amazing place is the tranquility compared to the mental hustle and bustle of the departure lounge. Staff were friendly and attentive and after one more cocktail we were called to board Tinker Belle.
We were warmly welcomed on board by terrific CC and our seats 12A/K were incredible. So much space and so many options for comfort. Lots of wee spaces to store bits and pieces and plenty overhead storage space further back in cabin. Every seat was full and yet the cabin felt so roomy. It really doesn't look like there is a bad seat in the whole cabin to be honest!
The flight deck were nice and chatty about their plane and our flight plan.
The whole flight was smooth - I can be nervous about turbulence but no problems today!
You could not go hungry on this flight.......I had pre ordered the veggie option and got lentil soup and curry both of which were pretty good. OH had steak and he raved about it. He does like his steak well done though and so for those that prefer it still mooing it might not be as great!! They also offered us crisps, dessert, cheese plate, afternoon tea, ice cream and endless drinks! I did not venture to the bar.....just a wee bit shy to walk right through the cabin but whoever was there was quiet.
IFE was really good, lots of options and worked well.
I did not want to sleep but made up my bed just to try it out and lay all comfy watching the amazing views out the window. Had a beautiful view of San Fran on our descent and landed bang on time.
We were off the plane and through immigration very fast but sadly had to wait almost half an hour for one of our bags.....at least it arrived though. There was a moment of dread where we thought it was lost!
Picked up by my sister and off to start our hols.
Our first ever Upper Class flight was tremendous. Thank you again to everyone here on vflyer whose advice helped me to bag those G's!!

Thanks for the TR and the smashing photos y) y)

We were in the Clubhouse later the same day and Mrs Buns too had a great spa treatment.

Of course, like many a V Flyer, you have now caught the bug and will do anything to travel in the nose section of the 747 and get into the Clubhouse on every occasion ):

Thanks once again

buns

A super TR thanks, it seems like everything was spot on which is just great. Flying is part of the holiday for me so the experience should be good. Thanks for the great pics too.

I'll echo what Mr Buns has said, once you've turned left you don't want to go the back of the plane again, and you'll probably end up like Gollum coveting the precious
G's. ):
Glad you had a good time y)

Thanks for all your kind replies! It was a brilliant flight and will definitely be a reality check next time we travel Y n( . Yes I'll need to start saving miles again..........although the holiday spending should give me a good start!!! Gutted that Little Red is ending, from up here in Scotland it made VS flights very appealing.

Thanks for the TR.

I agree with regarding LR ending. We too are up in Scotland and have found the connections onto VS's long haul network worked well.
