This was the return journey from Barbados and if you have never been its a wonderful island to explore by car. We had a hire car which we dropped off at the airport rather early as there was a hint of g class upgrades so we were at the airport for 2pm for a 20:40 flight :(! .

As said before the VS website and reservations were all showing 0 in upper and PE but when enquiring at the desk they hadn't sold an Upper Class very strange ;)

The ticketing agent was excellent Mr J he was polite and informative and speedily (1 hour due to FC telephone call to take the miles) apologising all the time.

Once completed we checked in and since we were the only ones upgraded wondered if we would have the cabin all to ourselves but 8 others also upgraded , lucky for us no reoccurrence of our outbound flight as the crew closed off the cabin from the get go.

With 401 onboard and 17 crew we set off on time and meal orders taken for both breakfast and evening meal we had a 7 hours and 55 mins flight.

The FSM and our cabin crew introduced themselves to us and we're really charming . The food was lovely which I had the soup, beef and lemon cake.

After the meal bed made and tried to get a little sleep which I think I only got 2 hours but felt refreshed so I did the manly thing and watched an action movie ( blood ,guts and fake bullets). :D

We had a nice smooth landing not like the VS 43 we heard about whilst in the clubhouse 9 hours earlier and bags collected we were home shortly before 11am .

Overall a complete contrast from the outgoing flight and the service you would expect from the crew but as mentioned it was a LGW /LHR crew going home y)

Really pleased you had a good flight home and were well looked after. Sounds like a good crew overall.

Time for you to start thinking about booking the next trip now.... ):

Thanks for the TR. I'm pleased all went well for you, from the upgrade to the good return flight. Will it be a Sandals Resort for Mrs F's birthday?
