If its from Gatwick then its a VS aircraft. Although Delta and Virgin codeshare at Gatwick, Delta aircraft no longer fly there.

There is no flight to Las Vegas from Gatwick at 09:10. Virgin's flight to Vegas, VS43, departs 11:20. It codeshares with Delta, DL4394.

It must be an indirect flight?

As Vegascrazy says, Virgin normally only operate one flight a day from LGW to Vegas, the VS43 which leaves at 11.20.
VS4340 is not a standard Virgin flight number so it must either be an indirect codeshare operated by another airline (not Delta as they don't serve LGW) or a special charter flight.
What date are you booked to fly? How did you book?

VS4340 is a code share
http://kvikr.com/flight/vs4340_virgin_atlantic_airwaysBut it seems to be Anchorage to Minneapolis
All very confusing

As does searching Delta's iPhone app, which says it is a flight operated by VS - which matches with the VS website showing VS951 operating on that date and time.

Couldn't see an obvious return flight though on Delta site for this plane.

4.35 return would be normal Virgin return to LGW

Yeah there's no corresponding return flight as far as I can see. Wonder what VS are up to with that one. Maybe they're operating a charter from that neck of the woods and are taking advantage by running a revenue flight in order to position the aircraft.

Which doesn't make sense as how would all the folks on two outbound fit in one return flight.
