Our new cat

Well after much pestering from my eldest son we got ourselves a boy tabby with white bits and my son has named him "Jay".

I have posted a picture of him (what a cutey pie!)

To all those that knew my beloved cat he was put down last year and the house became very quiet indeed. Apart from the awkward questions my son asks such as "can i go to Heaven today to see Sooty" Why did you send sooty away", and after much explaining that he was ill.etc We felt that now we could move on and my son having the choice of a new pet and that he understood the responsibility of keeping a pet.

So now my little boy is happy and so are we.

Congrats on the new addition to your family. We had a lovely tabby cat back home called Kevin! I am sure all the family will be able to enjoy Jay, being with you.

Just seen the photo. Sorry. You can't have him. I want him.

Very, very cute - you're little boy is going to have many happy years with him.

Jay looks beautiful! I lost my cat in January. Bubbles was 20, and there is still a big hole in my life. However, as you've done, I'll be getting another furry alarm clock soon!

Have fun with Jay

That is one cute little kitty you have there. We lost or cat in September after him being with the wife for 14 years.
I was totally allergic to him but missed him loads when he passed on. So much so within a week of allergy free symptoms I took the wife out and got two cute little kittyÕs to take his place.

I hope you have great fun and enjoyment with Jay when he arrives.

Happy Clawing

Oh, what a sweetie he is! And so tiny too. Is he causing you all sorts of havoc - and has he taken over the household completely yet???

Our one remaining cat - Jessie - she's 17 now and prone to all kinds of ailments. With each one, I think it's going to be time to say goodbye and that thought is heartbreaking. We've said we won't have another one - but when I see pictures like this, I can't help but think I might need to re-consider....

Oh, I signed on after I saw the picture and went hunting for this thread. Jay is so cute!

I can't do it right now, but someday I'll be in your shoes, looking at another adorable little kitty face and be struck by kitty-love.

What a lucky kitty Jay is! I'm sure he'll have a wonderful time growing up with you all. We know you'll never forget Sooty, but Jay couldn't have come to nicer people.

Just think: after your weekend in Amsterdam, you can kitty-proof the house! Ah, the trouble a kitten can get into. One neuron in their head says 'find trouble' and the other says 'now!' :D Not to mention kittens are the original masters of alternative fuel - they seem to teleport and have variable weights. Amazing how much that 2-kilo kitten's paws can feel like 10 tons apiece when he's hungry and walking across part of your sleeping anatomy at oh-gosh-the-birds-aren't-even-up. Even more amazing how fast the little furballs can move when you're opening the door to the one place a kitten just shouldn't go... [:0]

Lucky you, Jay. You just found your pot o'gold.[y]
