I will be at the Michael Buble concert in Nottingham too - booked my tickets last week. He was NBC singing live this morning (maybe something to do with his new album released today) - nevertheless it was a lovely start to the day!

A few years ago I promised my Mum if Barbra Streisand toured again I'd take her. She's coming to London in July - tickets start at £100 though. But I'd still love to see her!!

I'm off to see Rush in Altlanta in June and then again in Manchester in October.

Also got some backstage passes for Arctic Monkeys at Lancashire Cricket Ground at the end of July. Supergrass, The Coral and Amy Winehouse are supporting.

Can't wait.

I didn't know he was still touring - it's (gulp) 30 years since I saw him at the Palace Theatre in Manchester. And "Live Bullet" is still one of the best live albums ever.

Anyhoo, this thread makes me feel rather sad as I realise my life is bereft of live music for some months to come - at one point last year I had a concert every weekend. A combination of work and family issues means I had to miss Steve Winwood and Joe Jackson recently. My next is JD Souther (possibly best known for cowriting several tunes popularised by the Eagles) in October!

Well now I feel really young as I have no idea who half the people are you guys are all off to see!![:I]

Anyway- am off to Spain to the Benicassam festival: so will be seeing the like of the Arctic Monkeys, Magic Numbers, Muse, The B52's, Brighteyes, Amy Winehouse etc. Cannot wait! So if any of you fancy a three day festival with a more chilled out atmosphere than Reading/Leeds/Glasto, I would recomend Benicassam.

Not sure many will have heard of them but...

Saw Theatre of Hate last Friday on their 25th anniversary tour....

300 people max in a small club in Bristol

Have to give them 5 stars - they were superb!

For those who would like to know.....

Kirk Brandon formed Theatre of Hate when the band 'The Pack' split up. When T.o.H split up he went on to form the band 'Spear of Destiny' (at the time of the split guitarist Billy Duffy joined 'The Cult' (not a Cult!))

There.... bet you're all so glad I put that in writing!

Live Earth 7/7/07 Wembley Stadium
Babra Streisand 18/7/07 O2 Arena
Gwen Stefani 20/9/07 SECC

Hopefully Kylie and Madonna and in 2008!!! One's 40 and one's 50 next year. Funny that. Both rumoured to be planning tours for their big birthdays.
