I been looking at mobiles/smartphones for a while now since my old K750i mobile phone is getting past it's best now (mind you, it's never thanked me since I dropped it in the bath early this year [:I]), but I've just come across one of these which looks pretty good.

It's not badly priced and looks to have all the usual smartphone gizmos.

Has anyone got one, as I'd value your any thoughts if you have please.

Thanks and Regards

We have just got one for push mail testing. Little on the large size to use as a phone - Bigger than a 750 anyways. Have you considered one of these.

here

Still reserving judgement on this but at least it is phone sized! (And it runs Windows Mobile PC)

I have the RW6915, slightly bigger than that one, A "Proper" sized phone which peopole with real sized hands can use, not a tiny lose in your hand type.

Had it for 12 months now without any problems whatsoever.

There is a forum you might want to peruse to find out the foibles in the unitLink

Edit by mod to shorten link........ Nick

Hi James,

Depends on what you are looking for in your mobile device. THe range of models changes quickly.

For me, I wanted a phone with a good sized screen, a proper keypad and 3G capability (as I can then use it as a modem with decnet connection speeds). I got the Orange M3100 (HTC Hermes) which is not the smallest of phones but meets all of the above. Sarah has one too now. They have been out for over 6 months now so are no longer new, but you can probably get a good price.

If you don't need 3G, then the new HTC S710 (it's the e650 on Orange):

is a really good device - traditional mobile phone size, with a slide out keyboard, and the first phone to run Windows Mobile 6. There is it's sibling due in a couple of months with 3G support, GPS, faster CPU and could be worth waiting for (HTC Wings/Volan):

It's other sibling is the S620 which has been rolled out to quite a few of our staff who don't need 3G, and has had really good feedback: http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=139471

Thanks Richard [y]

3G isn't much use to me as there's no coverage where I live, as I've already tried using a Sony Ericsson K800I.

There is a keyboard available for the HP RW6815 so that could always be added later if needed.
