Just got back from a long weekend in the big city, saw Gay Pride and went to The Concert for Diana, after the incendiary cars that were left ( one near our hotel ) and the terror strike at Glasgow it was starting to look a bit scary.

The underground scares me at the best of times ( thanks to a certain werewolf film, lol ) but I and my partner decided not to let these numpties stop our plans to go to the concert.

Mainly I want to thank the London police all of them, they were eveywhere this weekend and all very very friendly, I felt very safe and very proud of them.

Well done to all off the bobies and bobettes

That's the spirit EGG. [y] Hats off to you and your partner.[oo]
You change your plans, then the numpties have won.

Well said EGG and well said guys. These people who serve us in blue are, overall, a fantastic group of people and deserve more or our thanks when due.

Certainly was a high police presence on Saturday in London. At one time, Oxford St was closed to traffic - it was really bizarre to see people just walking in the road. I assumed it was to do with the bomb scare things - that was until we walked from the to Covent Garden and stumbled across the Pride event. Was it YOU making all that noise EGG????!!!;)

EGG

All credit to you for not diverting your plans in the capital last weekend[y][y]

I will make sure your praise of the boys and girls in blue are passed on;)

These troubled times test the tempers of the finest and they are doing a great job in remaining calm, no matter the provocation ("don't you know who I am??")

This coming weekend with the Tour de France, Wimbledon and al manner of other events will again be busy
