[y] and [^] and [oo] and :D!

A morning of some anxiety (and accompanying ibuprofen) has now passed and Offspring Number Two, aka the Less Favoured One, has the GCSE results she needed. I see the credit card getting a bashing in Boston over the weekend.

Sorry, just had to tell someone!

I hope any other V-Flyer parents / grandparents in the same situation are similarly blessed.

Great news Paul. [y][y]

Until you have been through it as a Parent, it is hard to imagine the stress that this time of year brings about.

A nice meal at the Top of the Hub seems a suitable reward.. (for you at least. [8D] )

Well done to the Less Favoured One - although I suppose that name has to change now [:w]

I had similar stresses last week before Aer John got the results of his Leaving Cert (our equivalent of A Levels) He did very well also and this week secured his place at university [y] :D

Brilliant news Paul & congrats to Less favoured One.[^][^]
We have been there done that, remember it well with our 2 older daughters.
Our middle daughter, aka 'remind-me-again-as-to-why-I-want-pick-you up-at-that-time-of-night....' received her AS results last week. She got various letters of the alphabet!!!!!

It's what she calls herself. Sister / elder brother rivalry. He, of course, believes that she's more favoured as she got phone/ ipod / laptop at a much younger age than he did.

Anyway, if all goes to plan tomorrow she will have to extend the title to LFO With Embarrassing Parents as I've arranged a small presentation in flight through VS [}:)].

Oh no, poor LFO, there is nothing as embarrassing as your parents. I have no idea what medication you are given at the Maternity Unit to make you this way, but they really need to stop[}:)]

Oh, I have always told Aer John it's the DUTY of parents to embarrass their offspring :D
