It's complete trash, but we still love it. So who else was tuned in? What did you make of the Alisha and Kimberly being in the bottom two?

Again, I concur with fozzyo [:I][:w]

Well I recorded it and watched Strictly Come Dancing - who got booted off, BTW. I flew to LHR last night and missed the results programme. To get back to the original question, I then upped my trash quota by watching it. Felt that Leon or that brother and sister who keep on pulling the strangest faces should have gone.

Leon isn't going to last - he can't handle the nerves. Same Difference (brother and sister) what are they about?

Kimberly was sent home, which I think is a real shame - she was great fun!

Thought the school teacher (cannot remember name), Niki and Futureproof were the best this week.

Niki was easilly the best this week.
As much as I dislike them, I thought Hop pulled off a good performance.

How very dare you, its not trash at all, its brilliant, amazing and fabulous all rolled into one.

HL - Big Willy got booted off SCD, him and John Barnes in the bottom two.

As for X Factor. Kimberley looked bloody awful, sang ok, but going on first was the killer for her. As for the rest, Andy, Beverley, Daniel, Alisha, Emily (aka miserable cow) were all dreadful imo and far worse than Kimberley. Hope & Futureproof are the only 2 acts who could have a sustained career out of the show, although I do think Same Difference have a market they appeal too. Niki's ok, but will someone please tell her she is not the only person in the whole world to have lost a parent, talk about over doing something.

And as for the silly up her own arse cow Sharon Osbourne, I for one hope she keeps to her word as does quit the show, how unfair was her stupid outburst for the 2 girls waiting to decide who was going.

Someone needs to limit her (Sharon Osbourne) alcohol intake during and before filming. Her outburst was alcohol induced as were her 'mummy' references.

As for the show, Sharon should be blamed for taking the innocence away from Kimberley. They made her up like a cross between Madonna and Gwen Stefani. This is a talent show and you need to appeal to the audience. I blame her demise on the look that Sharon obviously gave her.

What was the arrangement all about that Leon sang? He was LUCKY! not to be booted out. It was terrible. It didn't give you a chance to listen if he could sing as you didn't know what note he was supposed to be singing.

Hope were OK, apart from one of them looking like a drag act (Someone did warn that may happen if they didn't walk like a 'lady'). Arrangement of that track was weak. They could be a UK version of PCD as long as they don't keep the same arranger. And I know it is a family show but they could have gone far far further with the sex appeal.

Same Difference could be OK if they tone it down a bit. They are off to a loser as a related duo anyway. Maybe they could do a 'comedy' track as it seem to work for the proclaimers (I know it wasn't supposed to be comedy the first time around)

Future proof need a lot of work. Possibly could do something if they work on it.

The rest were OK, Niki and Beverley actually sounded like pros to me but we shall see what they do next week.

What is with Andy's singing voice? I know he is welsh but he has the weirdest vocals....

Well, well

Eight replies and no-one's mentioned Ridian (sp?) - I though his and Nicky's were the best vocal performances of the night.

I've usually stopped watching by now - I find the auditions unmissable but I'm not really bothered about the competition - my excuse was I had it on whilst preparing for my rugby party!

Regards
Pat

I thought Rhyd was trying to hard to sound more mainstream.

What is with the Creative Director? I'm sorry anyone who wears one trouser leg up can't be considered to have "style". The styling of most of them was so wrong, the tall one in Hope looked terrible and couldn't stay still - i think she really really needed to get to the toilet for a wee!

I think Danni is making a really good judge, through the auditions she is the one I agreed with the most. Good to see the Lulo and Simon show is back to its old tricks.

I thought Chantelle was of particular musical merit. Her pink shell suit added that extra touch of class to her act.

As you can tell, I'm not the greatest fan of the X Factor.

45.

P.S. The character/s described within my facetious outburst are not based on any person/s; any similarity is merely coincidence;)

Having read some of the comments above - i URGE you - and i mean REALLY REALLY REALLY URGE you to read CHART THROB by Ben Elton. It is a novel about a competition that clearly is the Xfactor, just with another name. It is shear brilliance - and having read it - you will never watch Xfactor in the same light ever again. My partner and I have enjoyed the Xfactor more this year now that we know 'how they do it'.

Amazon have it in stock!
