Honey Lamb, you could make a ton of money if you could sell the powerful force that drives you to football posts against your will, only there to be sickened. I mean, the vile power that dissolves your free will and positively inists that your fingers click on football posts -- when you are sickened by the thought -- should be put to the use of the forces for good on this planet.
Just imagine...this same nefarious power could be used to force Osama Bin Laden to eat a pork pastie!
Think about it, and call MI5 in the morning. Please. For the love of all that is good in the world.
Thank you.

ALL THAT SAID...CAN WE PLEASE KEEP THIS AS OUR ONE FOOTY THREAD, PLEASE? After all, we are squatting to a degree in the midst of an aviation site, so let's not push our welcome too far. Lessons learned from last season...[|:)]

How nice that MUFC will be teaching us how to read on the first day of the season.I wonder if this is a new corporate policy or just aimed at developing Wayne Rooney[y]
I wonder how well Mark Hughes will fair if the proposed US/UK take over comes to fruition? Extra finance and good management? Sounds like an excellent combination.

Surely English lessons should be compulsory for all of our 'UK based' teams now...? [:w]

No, I only posted to register my protest. However I do agree with your sentiments that there should only be one footy thread [^]
Oh and the reason that I allow myself to click my fingers on a thread that interests me not one whit is that I have been around messages boards long enough to know that even the dullest of threads can suddenly morph into a sparkling and interesting discussion - and I don't want to miss that

Even better, try to be a catalyst for that outcome! [y]

I went down to the pub and watched it live. I had a feeling DB was going to get the winner in the last minute ( memories of Greece WC qualifier[oo]) and even placed a small(ish) wager, but he limped off early[n].

Will Manchester United get Tevez or not? This guy certainly carries around plenty of drama wherever he goes!

I`m not sure if he could maintain his end of season WH form all season. I think he was wound up more than he let on with regards all the arguments about him, even though he said he didn`t understand English.Afterall, he didn`t do much before the last 5 or 6 games of the season, unless I missed something.I am surprised MU are looking at him.

Looks like Setanta have a lot of 5.15pm kick-offs this season. They have ads all over the papers this week showing off what games they will be showing. Even though Liverpool have three of their Premier League fixtures on Setanta I'll be sticking with Sky Sports for now, unless Virgin Media come back with a great deal for Sky Sports and Setanta.
Anyone else subscribing/subscribed to Setanta?
