London 2008 Football International Tournament
Posted: 02 Dec 2007, 21:12God (and my knees, employer and bank account) willing, I plan to attend this footy tournament in London this summer.
Yesterday was our try-out and I think I did well. In addition to drills, we had a scrimmage and it ended 2-2. Yours truly scored one of the goals -- a header off a beautiful, curling freekick! [y] It looks like I will be named to the team, but it's all up to the logistics and finances (you and your damned pound sterling!!!) [:p]
Anyway, I may well be looking for free kip space from one or more of you (you can 'sponsor' me for a night and then hand me around...like a trollop from Hull) LOL
At any rate, I just wanted to share my excitement at yesterday's try-out results and warn all of you I am likely to be in Blighty twice this summer (and subtlely begin to beg some of you for couch space).
