Hmm so that'd be frozen pizzas from Kwik Save with a fried egg on top? Or was that just my mum?

I assume she had the decency to defrost them first? Fried egg? Wrong on so many different levels.
Had a friend once whose mother insisted on serving mash potato whenever they had pizza...

LOL Could be an interesting topic for those quirky foods that you grew up with but that nobody else seemed to have. Reminds me of friends with Joey cooking trifle (or whatever it was) with Beef in it. [:)]
Thanks,
Sarah

Pizza Express used to do these, but it must be fifteen plus years ago since I had one - sadly I actually remember the branch (Blackheath) and who I was with (the old man) when I had it.

When I was a kid my old man used to take me to a pizzeria just outside Paris. They usd to do these fantastic calzones which were cooked with an egg in the middle. If they got them just right the egg would stil be runny when you cut into it. I've been trying to recreate it ever since...
