Employment law is a huge minefield. My advise is seek professional help via CAB or union.

Ditto - and case law can change things rapidly too. That said, this government site may be useful:

Employment law can be even more complex than criminal
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/index.htmIs very good and so is
http://www.yourrights.org.uk/index.shtmlGeneral rule of thumb is
If its related to breach/change of contract on employers behalf then discussion is needed[:?]
If its related to employee failure to adhere to policy and procedures, its muddy water I'm afraid[V]
Personally, Get legal representation
Hope all ends well

I assume you are speaking about UK employment policies. I echo the advice of others to secure the services of legal counsel. Going it alone in the thicket is not recommended.
I'm an HR person, so if you have a question, feel free to PM me.
