How would you explain this away?

Boisterous CNN travel reporter Richard Quest probably regrets taking an early morning stroll in the park.

I think I've led a very sheltered life.

Everyone needs to have a hobby. [;)]

It was interesting to see the story break, and develop over on Flyertalk. The attitudes shown were fascinating - from complete indifference, though defending him, to outright horror; with quite a few 'I told you so' comments on the way.

Isn't it the standard 'I was kidnapped, then they said they were going to kill me' routine??? [:w]

I remember an MP in the 90's who was found hanging in his house in Chelsea wearing a plastic mac, wellington boots and an orange in his mouth - think his poison was Amylnitrate.

I also read of an old bloke who used to go to take himself off to his shed at the bottom of the garden from time to time. He rigged up a bell system connected to the house that he would ring so his wife could run down the garden and remove the rope at the last minute. Trouble was she got a bit deaf over the years and one day she didn't hear the bell ........

It clearly works for some, I just think it's very silly!

It's very silly
To wear a rope on your willy
It could become very chilly
If you stay out to long in the gully (sic.)!

Whatever rocks his boat!

Stephen Milligan - I seem to remember the Sun headlines of 'Tory MP in Orange hanging shocka'.

Interestingly no reports of it over on CNN.com, and some of his articles won't load....

Autoerotic Asphyxiation. Went to a fascinating talk about it the once, 45mins of safety and 'do you realise how dangerous this stuff is' and 15mins of how-to's.

Can't say I understand it though.

[:)] Nope - how can we forget the spate of 90's Tory MP 'mishaps' - Mellor and Antonia with him wearing the Chelsea Kit; The Hamiltons and al-Fayed. Seem to recall much piss-taking of all of the above on Have I Got News For You - which was a staple of my TV viewing habits.

The only TV program to have me guaranteed to laugh out loud.

I can already see Paul Merton saying 'Scrote on a rope'. Or 'Is that the Manhattan Rope Pr!ck?'

Enough, already. I feel the force of Limericks coming to me.

Just curious on one other aspect of the story.
From Article

An unidentified companion was given a summons for not carrying any identification.

Is it a mandatory requirement in the US to always carry ID? Or is it only mandatory at certain times of the day or in certain places (or when accompanying celebs with ropes round their necks)?
