I was reminded this evening that the name of one of my favourite teenage bands was taken from a novel title, namely, Sad Caf, being taken from
Carson McCullers - The Ballad of the Sad Caf
... trivia away!

Deacon Blue - Steely Dan's 'Deacon Blues'
Duran Duran - from the film 'Barbarella'
Fairport Convention - from Simon Nicol's parents' home

House of DollsEverything but the Girl - slogan from what looks like a
classy 80s store in Hull, the slogan in turn coming from a 30s B-movie, 'The Daughter of Shanghai'.

Public Image LTD - from the Muriel Spark Novel, 'The Public Image'
