Whatever happened to DVT?

Read an article today which mentioned DVT and it occurred to me that after a lot of hype a year or more ago this subject has not been in the news at all.
Now I know that the media has a tendency to jump on any particular bandwagon that rolls past and therefore prominence is as a result distorted but this issue can't have disappeared altogether.
I seem to remember the Government saying they were going to carry out a study of this issue but I guess that was hot air because of the then high levels in media attention.

All the court cases were thrown out so no compensation culture has developed around it. Plus I seen to recall studies showing that the emphasis on prevention falls mainly at the pax doors, rather than the airlines to redesign seats/increase leg room.

ALL the cases ?
I think not Darren ! There has been many settlements ( in or out of court) and I am personally aware of more than one.

Really? I'd be interested in some of the details as that opens up a huge minefield of precedent.
