So what are your plans?
As I'm classy and that, I'm going to The Rivoli ballroom with the other half. It's like Hi-De-Hi and the Spirit of the Blitz meets Strictly Come Dancing combined.

Oh, and it's fun.

Sad to say that I hate New Year parties!
So I'm off to a friends house with a pizza to sit and watch some DVDs.

Despite my poker friends trying to get me to play out tomorrow night, it is highly likely that me & SWMBO will be having a quiet night in, vegging and drinking - we have a lovely bottle of pop to share at midnight though [:)]
Cheers

I hate New Year too, and would love to just stay at home and go to bed about 11pm, but I'm now allowed, so it's down to Luke's family in Chesterfield for a house party!
Have a good one everybody.

We'll be in the air on BA for New Year. Technically we may cross 2008 and 2009 a few times as we change time zones but I plan to be either asleep or so full of Port that it could be 1899 [:D]
Happy New Year to all our V-Flyer members [y]
Thanks,
Sarah

Another thumbs down to New Year here too [n]
Spent last one trapped in pub on The Strand - never again!!!
So for something classy I'm in the Travelodge in Croydon avoiding the inevitable karaoke party at home (something I hate even more than New Year itself).
Roll on 2009...

I'm currently in an eco lodge in North Yorkshire with the wife and 4 friends. We've been here since last Saturday - so this evening will be cocktails, a meal that we're all cooking and then plentyt of champagne at midnight!

This year like most years we're with friends at a housparty, drinking beer, listening to some proper late 70's early 80's Jazz Funk and reminiscing on how good the old days were.
Sad I know but hey each to their own.
Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous New Year[:D]

Perhaps we should have a virtual V-Flyer party?
Champagne, mojitos and T10 along with all your favourite VS snacks and treats.

Now surely that is an oxymoron? Unless you missed the word past. Flying BA NGCW last week was such an eye-opener with the 'Raid the larder' concept, where they had a whole range of things to help yourself to during the flight and we're not talking the little white chocolate squares from VS. They had boxes of Krispy Kremes, proper chocolates, yoghurts, sandwiches and more. Very impressed!

LOL. Just had the most pleasant four days in Stockholm and about to board BA to LHR, so home by 10, some champagne and probably will drop into deep sleep.
Happy New Year to all! Whatever the doom and gloom, I hope everyone finds something good and prosperous to look forward to in 2009.
