Guitar Hero anyone?

I'm not usually a games type person, but since the demise of my ten year old DVD player I invested in a Playstation 3 to play Blu-Rays, and, as well as upgrading my entire aging AV system into the late noughties (that's a whole other story in itself), discovered Guitar Hero.

I am not too good yet, but after many years of dipping my toe into the games market, I have finally found something I enjoy beyond Tetris. Drums are my 'speciality' in the loosest sense of the word but I can do guitar and bass a bit. Vocals are a disaster.

Is anyone else also having this midlife crisis and care to play online?

Young Howard strikes again! [:p]

I've played Rock Band which is very similiar at a friends house, which was fun - bass and lead guitar were my forte, drums is far too difficult. Some of my chums at work have obviously been playing it religously as they are far too good.

I bought a US PS3 to handle Region 1 DVD's, and to play Blu-Rays (as most aren't region coded and we have a UK Xbox 360 for upscaling R2 media) and I must say it does a stunning job. Even better was that I managed to get it before the $ went South, so it cost ~165. Bargain.

I don't play many video games either - but I absolutely love GH [y][y]

Picked up a 2nd hand PS2 off eBay about 2 years ago and started collecting the series - just got GH: Aerosmith this week, and waiting somewhat desperately for GH: Metallica to come out this year [:D]

Cheers

Now have you gone for the wired or wireless guitar boys? I wouldn't want any AV disasters....

Hey Howard,

New to V Flyers but was browsing through and saw your post. I play Guitar Hero 3 online sometimes - EJon25 if you want a match sometime. Not played for a bit so let me know if you want to play online.
GTA 4 is pretty good too.

New to all this, not sure best place to post things!

Rock on!

Welcome, TikiJon [y]

We recently purchased GH:WT, Richard is very good at the guitar, and I do the drums. Its is a very fun game, frighteningly difficult on some of the high levels.

Thanks,
Sarah

Just a little bit longer to wait!!!
But the playlist looks awesome. Just starting to learn 'For whom the bells toll' on my guitar.
