V-Flyer

Following on from GJ's post about the league, thought I'd see if there's interest in forming a V-Flyer Fantasy Premier League for next season?

For the last few years, I've played at http://fantasy.premierleague.com - completely free to enter, and you can setup friends leagues, etc.. (I usually run a couple for another forum and for work).

Have a look see, and post here if you're interested - I'll setup the league a little nearer the new season [:)]

New league up & running, details:
If you're interested in playing/joining, go to this address:

Sign up/log in, pick your team, then from your team page click 'Manage leagues', then 'Create / Join'
In the 'Join a private league' section, enter the following code:
35307-11396

Simples!

Worth noting that the site does do a random team selection if you don't want to do the selection yourself [:)] Also worth noting that all transfers made before the start of the season (which will be the deadline for gameweek 1) are free...

I'll post details of how to join the league when it's all setup - however given that the fixtures aren't published until 17th June, it won't be until at least then before the fantasy team site is ready to let you create your team (I think you can register before the teams are ready though).

FYI, I asked the FPL support guys when the league would re-open and got the following reply:

Now that the season has ended, your team will shortly be reset, as will all of the player values and positions where appropriate.

Check back in early July for details of when the new game will start. You will need to select another team. However, your login details will remain the same. For league administrators there will also be an option to restart your leagues.

Look forward to seeing you again next season!

FFPL have reset their leagues now - the 'V-Flyer Victors' league is up and running and waiting for people to join [:)]

Think it's only fair to warn prospective entrants that I intend to close the league for new entries once the Gameweek 1 deadline has passed (i.e. after 1130hrs on 15th August 2009) - no further registrations to the league will be possible after this time.

Have now registered. Am I right in thinking we cannot see who each other has selected until after the first game?

I am leaving my publication until the last couple of days - I have been bitten by last minute transfers abroad in previous years, so will be uploading as close to the deadline as I can. [;)][:D]

That's almost correct - you won't see anyones team until the gameweek that they play in (i.e. you only see the team that will play in the gameweek when the transfer deadline has passed for each week)
