Oh the shame of shopping at Morrisons. I must re-read that long thread from not so long ago that said elitism didn't exist on this site, seems alive and kicking to me[:?]

Unfortunanlty not on the PCP but we have already been to Morrisons and bought 6 bottles of the Moet Fizz for Chrimbo. had to buy 2 each and go back in again as they were restricting it to 2 bottles per person. :-)

Might need to go back soon though, we have already opened one !

Cough [;)] I NEVER ssid it didnt exist. I thought that thread was more concerned about UC travel rather than 'off topic' [:w]

Anyhow back to elitism. It does exist, it is part of life, as this forum is part of many of our lives then it should reflect that aspect - surely ? [:?] If it didnt then that would be another expicit form of elitism surely [:w][|:)]

BTW it also helps to have a sense of humour (Richard knows me and mine very well [y])

Ah ok, a sense of humour! They can't sell those at the low end shops like Morrisons, must be the reason I haven't got one.

Yes, they had the 'limit of 3 bottles of Champagne per customer' condition printed on the sign. Shame that isn't really well defined as to the time period. Not to worry, I just tootled along to Self-Service Checkout and all was fine (no condition on the POS system to limit to 3 bottles) [:w]

Now buns, lets not do things by halves here... we both know that two bottles of Bollinger in your or my household will last all of an hour at the most. [}:)]

Thanks Richard. Another Bolly run accomplished [:D][:D]. I chanced my arm with one or two bottles more than the supposed max of 3 [:w][:w]. No problem at the checkout (apart from the bill)[:D].Might even pop in again tomorrow [:D].

I'd check back another day as they get deliveries most nights - they were out of Bolly last night (I took the last 6 bottles), but they had some more again this morning at 8am..... Next delivery for Reading is Thursday apparantly, might pick some more up.

I popped into our local Morrisons and they had sold out but asked if they could contact two other stores nearby and amazingly one store had 3 cases left. Asked to put by 6 as there were two of us and 10 minutes later collected them.
At the check out mentioned about the 3 bottles pp limit and the guy said don't worry about it, so popped back to the shelf to pick up another 4 which was great.

I do like Morrisons[y] even though my nearest is in Folkestone 12 miles from Ashford. It is the only place I can buy Scotch Pies in my area when I am home. A necessity for a Scottish ex pat abroad[:D]

Morrisons at Woosehill is currently denuded of such luxuries.

However, the HWV wine cellar, formerly known as the study, is now chocka.

Roll on Christmas; in fact, roll on 8pm this evening.

TEE HEE.....HIC!

Not to worry, Sainsburys have now started: 14 for Lanson, Piper, Heidsieck Monopole Blue, and a few others.

Wonder if the normal buy 6, get 5% off applies :)

In Seattle markets, one gets 10% off for any 6 bottles of wine. Perhaps Your Grace might like to relocate to Seattle?
