YESSS! My battle against the machine!

Let me bore you with this one...

It's taken four two-way exchanges of mail, but I have finally succeeded in my battle with the council about a parking ticket issued on my car outside my flat recently. After being stone-walled on three occasions about 'clear' road markings, they have finally accepted that the road markings are 'confusing' and have cancelled the PCN.

My 100% success on challenging parking tickets the Howard way remains intact!

I am mightily tempted to request an FoI disclosure of the number of other motorists who've been hoodwinked into paying 60 or 120 fines in the same location - it must be hundreds over the past year alone. But life is perhaps too short.

Ahhhh. So satisfying.

Cheers, H

Howard

I admire your perseverance[y]

I suspect the piece work approach of the local council wardens means that there are many who are slapped with a PCN in dubious circumstances[:(!]

Just think the effort the Council will have to put in to answer the FOI Request

Always nice to hear of mans triumph over the parking ticket (or the council for that matter!). [y]

Thanks,

I think I've already had the 120 ticket's worth as it is. As well as the council's admin so far, they are having to re-mark the road.

What I hate most is stone walling and lazy rubber stamp replies: that makes me even more insistent. Sadly a lot of people throw in the towel and pay up.

I'm not a serial complainer, and if it's a fair cop, as about half the PCNs I've received over the years are, I'll take the rap. But then again I definitely won't take a dodgy one lying down.

Cheers, H
