Warning for parents about youtube

A friend just sent me a link to a story that seems to be brewing.

It seems that there is a nice little 8 year old boy who uploads videos of himself playing video games to youtube, he wanted to make some friends on youtube, some guy decides to help him and posts on an 'adult forum' asking for the members of that forum to become subscribers to this kids posts, hey it's an ego boost for the kid.

Well of course most users have no idea how many subscribers a porn forum has, but here is a small clue.

At midnight Jan 2nd the kid had 11 subscribers, by midnight on the 3rd he had 14000, what did youtube do, they banned the kid....

Now nothing annoys people more than picking on an 8 year old kid, so this website has decided that Jan 6th will be youtube porn day, they will be uploading porn movies all day, which is totally against youtube rules.

Therefore I ask you to keep an eye on the little ones to make sure they don't stumble on something they shouldn't.

Scrooge, your public-mindedness is to be commended. One wonders if it's really you posting, but still, a gold star to you.

Yes GJ it was me, while I fully applaud and support 4chan in this, I know many kids that go on to youtube, do they really need to see porn, well of course not.

What would be good is for youtube (Google) to say 'sorry we are wrong' and reinstate the kid.

It's a very nice story, of course it completely missed the point of why the raid happened, but that's the BBC now days.

Anyone have Siobhan Courtney's email.

Oh btw, here is the link to the story.
