F1 in New York

I know this is a really sad question but I am a complete F1 nut and we're off to NYC for a short break and when we booked I hadn't realised that this would mean missing the first race of the season. Do any of you kind V-Flyers over the pond happen to know whether any US TV channels will be showing the race? I have tried searching online but cannot seem to find anything other than on the internet and, as this is supposed to be one of the few completely non working breaks, we were not planning on taking the laptop with us.
Many thanks

They certainly show the races in the US as I watched the final race of last season when we were in MCO, but I honestly can't remember which channel it was on, but I am sure one of the bars will show it or put it on for you, although just thinking as I type, with a 12pm UK start time, it will be 7am in NYC which might make it more difficult.
I am also missing the first race due to a christening we have to go to, I am not a happy bunny!

It looks like Fox Sports have the 2010 USA TV rights, but only for 4 races

The wiki entry also says 'delayed' so the race will not be broadcast live but taped and shown later.
It will also be pre-packaged with lots of little films of the drivers and their families (or the team members if suitable) overcoming some sort of mental, physical or other adversity.

The Speed channel carries F1 over here, good luck finding it though as it really is one of the tiny channels.

Thanks all. Worst case scenario I'll have to watch it when I get home it's just never the same when you have already heard the results in advance! Yes, I foudn the info on Fox but it doesn't look as though they are covering this week's race and I did also find Speed channel but it does look as though Speed is an internet only channel isn't it? 7am or so works really well as with only 3 nights in NYC I know we'll never get completely into the time zone so we'll be up early anyway. Perhaps this is one I can land on the hotel concierge.....
Thanks again

I'm not sure how legal it is, but if you have a laptop you could probably stream the race live from
www.justin.tv - I've used it to watch the Six Nations when stuck abroad.

Speed is available on 'normal' tv (not quite understanding how the US system works [?])
Is available in Hiltons etc

As an avid TV watcher in the US, I have never come across the Speed channel once whilst in hotels.

Speed seems to be a fairly standard channel in residential homes. My parents have Speed on their basic cable package. It is really your best bet and will be what my father will be watching over the weekend. I have also seen Speed on in pubs/restaurants with a UK or Irish theme.
