Around 3.40 (PT) today

in Lake Forest,CA - I'm in the kitchen cooking the duck's dinner (yes that is the duck's dinner not the duck dinner - don't ask) - when the lights start swaying. Not unusual but this went on for around a minute. CNN reporting it was 20 miles underground which is why there is minimal structural damage being reported. Epicentre in Baja California, and several aftershocks from 4.2 up to 5.

Just for clarifications, Baja California is not in fact in California, it is the name of the peninsula to the west of Mexico, the earthquake itself was centered around Mexicali, which on the border with California.

Amazingly only 2 people reported killed right now.

US Geological Survey puts the epicentre 20 miles SE of Mexicali.
