Anyone help with a little network problem?

We have 2 seperate networks, one of which provides internet access and the other access to a company network.

Is there any (resonably simple) way of allowing a pc on the company network access to the internet ?

Both routers are within a few feet of each other so could be connected.

Sorry, brain is a little slow after last week. ?|

many thanks

I would suggest not as they are probably separate for a good reason. You also have the potential for IP addressing conflicts too.

Thanks for reply Darren. IP addresses are totally different so no problem there. Its only 1 particular machine that needs internet access.

You would need to put a second network card in the PC that wants to share networks. There are plenty of examples around. Google PC on two networks for lots of info

Just don't forget to ensure you have a decent hardware firewall installed on the internet side as it's easy to hack in on the internet and hop onto your internal network.

I'm still a bit vexed as to why the 2 are separate?

At work we have just had a new wireless network installed supplied by Aruba Networks.

It offers 2 WiFi connections. Corporate and guest. I'm not sure how it works though but I know it is plugged into our existing wired LAN. The corporate network obviously connects you to our main corporate network and 'guests' can use the other WiFi network which just provides internet access and nothing else.

I just wonder though if IT are actually aware of how many staff carry WiFi enabled devices around in the pockets now!! They also haven't said that staff can't use it either :w
