It's the Daily Mail (sorry) but still interesting. The comments section contains the as-expected barely concealed fury at life itself

Blobby World

Blobby World

I had no idea Blobby World had ever existed!

How about Abandonded River Country in Orlando or Fantazy Land in Egypt...

:)

Tinks the wiki page for Mr Blobby says there were three of them !

Theme parks in Somerset, Morecambe, and Lowestoft were created based on the Blobby character. Visitors could travel through attractions such as Mr. Blobby's house. All of the parks have since closed.

And my (soon to be ex) organisation conducted a two year public interest investigation into the Morecambe one, characterised in the press as Blobbygate. The final report (not a light read) was a fantastic insight into the way people can get carried away with so-called regeneration schemes when they lack the expertise to manage the risks in them.
