V-Flyer

Nothing to do with flying but I'm hoping someone here may be able to help. I have an MBNA Horizon Visa card - issued when the Virgin Atlantic Amex/Visa cards were discontinued. This card works fine on Apple Pay everywhere I use it, both abroad and in UK except at my staff canteen in London! The canteen is operated by Interserve and I see loads of other folk paying with their phones. Why would my MBNA Visa work via Apple Pay everywhere except at this one outlet? I can pay fine at the canteen just the card, so definitely not a card issue.
