Bay to Breakers - May 21st '06

For those of you that know nothing of what I put in the subject, please take a look here.

Now, I mentioned this to Ben last weekend, and that I was up for doing it. Little did I know, that since then, he would sign up, register and send me the application pack... [:0][}:)]

So, I guess I'm committed. Question is - are any of you folks up for it?

It's not a marathon (it's under 8 miles); it's all for good causes and from what I've seen before - it's a great day out. There's no pressure (many walk it)... ;)[:w]

May 21st - do I hear any other takers? [^]

As Paul said Bay to Breakers is certianly an event. Normally there are over 75,000 participants and 100,000 spectators. Will be a great day out for all in a great city.

Come on. It would be a great weekend. See the Giants play the Athletics cross the bay in Oakland on Saturday and run or walk in the race(err, competition) Sunday. :)

Your use of the word "race" offends me... [:p]

The v-flyer SFO office of will be happy to assist with this endeavor, though labour laws do not allow us to actively participate in the actual physical exercise.

Go go go!

Cheers

ROFL :D

As long as the run isn't longer than 10 miles, I won't even have to get off my Segway.

The other half (John) is doing this. Flight booked out to SFO on Thursday 18th and flying to JFK where he is meeting me on the following Tuesday.

However, I will warn Preiffer that he does join up with a group of guys that do the event naked. San Francisco is rather liberal on certain days and nudity is tolerated by the police. Understand they even let you get up close for a pic if they are in the right mood!
As such, you might not really want to be associated with this group of participants.

Me? I'm too shy and therefore only flying direct to JFK.

I for one will be in a t-shirt, running shorts and of course running shoes. The Bay to Breakers event does look to be lively. :)
